Eligibility
Educational Qualification | Candidates should have completed a degree in B.E., B.Tech, MCA, M.Sc, B.Sc, or M.A. from a recognized university or institution. |
Academic Performance | There is no specific minimum percentage requirement to be eligible for the eLitmus exam. Candidates from all academic backgrounds can apply. |
Final Year Students | Students in their final year of graduation or post-graduation can also take the eLitmus exam, provided they meet the educational qualification criteria at the time of taking the test. |
Age Limit | There is no age limit to appear for the eLitmus exam. |

Negative Marking Rule
New eLitmus Negative Scoring Rule – Negative scoring begins when 25% of the questions attempted are found to be incorrect. For example, if you attempt 16 questions, the total number of wrong answers allowed is 4. If you get less than 4 questions wrong, you will not get a negative mark. If you get 10 wrong, 6 of them will give you 50% minus points. Each segment is processed independently according to the negative sign.
The old eLitmus negative marking rule (some websites still show this old rule) –
- Minus 10 marks will be awarded for each incorrect question.
- If you get a question wrong, you will get -10 marks for that question.
- eLitmus questions do not receive negative points regardless.
- If a question is unanswered, the evaluation will be negative.
- Students can take the eLitmus exam as many times as they like.
- Companies cannot know how many times you have taken the Elitmus test.
- Recent score – considered lower or higher than previous attempts.
