- Salary:INR 400,000.00 per Annum
Engineer Trainee will be responsible for maintaining and administering computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations. Trainee will monitor the production servers, scheduled jobs, incident management. They will be responsible for receiving incidents and requests from end-users, analysing these and responding to the end user with a solution. They need to provide support for Windows, Network, Database, Storage, Messaging and collaboration, and Cloud support.[Cognizant Hiring Engineer Trainee 2025]
Location
Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Kolkata Kochi, Gurgaon, Noida, Mumbai and Pune. Candidate must be flexible to relocate to any Cognizant work locations as per the business requirement and demand.
Key responsibilities
- Perform activities based on defined guidelines in SOPs / Runbooks
with business impact understanding. - Adhere to customer security and compliance requirements.
- Adhere to customer communication etiquettes.
- Ensure stated productivity requirements for the engagement.
- Contribute to continuous service improvement plans (CSI).
- Contribute to and participate proactively in knowledge sharing sessions.
- Act as a buddy for new hires.
- Organisation – Adhere to Organisational policies and processes (including Cognizant’s security policies, LP, timelines, etc).
Role expectations
- Associate should be client-focused and able to work with users from different communities and cultures across the globe.
- Associate should be willing to work in a 24/7 environment and be open to relocating to any part of India based on project requirements.
Support available from Cognizant (post joining as Full Time Employee)
- Night shift allowance will be paid by the project.

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates who have taken part in Cognizant’s hiring process within the past five years (2019 – 2024), mark the same in registration form.
- 2022, 2023, 2024 graduating batches of B.E. / B.Tech. / M.E. / M.Tech. / MCA / M.S. / M.Sc. in any domain or specialization (Full-time degree).
- Students should possess consistent academic record with minimum 50% in X, XII, Diploma and UG (rounding off 49.9% is not allowed ).
- Students with standing arrears are NOT eligible.
- Flexibility to work from any Cognizant office location in a given shift timing and technology is mandatory.

- Voter Id card / Passport will be mandatory to verify citizenship.
Please note: Students will get the communications only to the registered mail ID in Superset. It must be their personal mail ID and shall be considered as the primary email ID.
